The park will open to the public at 5:00pm; entry will only be allowed with a pass. The fireworks display is expected to start around 9:15pm.
The celebration is funded entirely by the sale of passes ($30 per car or per walk-in family). Residents may elect to make an additional donation to the event when purchasing a pass online by clicking on “Make a Donation” on the “Summary of Charges” page.

STAMFORD: Sadly, it appears Budget cuts have snuffed out Stamford’s Fourth of July fireworks for 2010, city officials said.
In response to the mayor’s calls for slashed spending across all city departments, no money is budgeted for the holiday display, held annually in Cummings Park.
If no donor steps in to pay for the event, it would be the first time in at least 50 years the city did not have a fireworks show. City Parks Department Superintendant Mickey Docimo said the fireworks have lit up the sky each July “as far back as I can remember.”
“I can’t remember a year since I’ve been born when there’s been no fireworks,” said Docimo, 48, who grew up on Cove Road.
City officials said the main reason for cancelling the event was not the fireworks’ cost, but overtime expenses associated with the celebration. Stay tuned….
