Back in September, 1927 when Leo Karl, Sr. first opened the doors to KARL Chevrolet, a tradition of a company deeply involved in the communities it serves was born. Ever since, the KARL dealership has taken a leadership role in many civic activities. The dealership has been particularly active in supporting both organizations and activities that involve Family and Youth.
KARL Chevrolet HUMMER has sponsored a ‘Scholarship Drive’ each spring for the past twenty-five years that has provided scholarships to area High School students who have excelled at both School and Community Service and who wish to pursue a higher education. After all, the Community Leaders of tomorrow will come from our youth of today.
Fairfield County Safe Kids is part of the National SAFE KIDS Organization which recently honored KARL with National Recognition as one of the leading Auto Dealerships promoting Child Safety in the Country.
The Dealership has worked closely with the Fairfield County Safe Kids Organization for more than a decade to promote infant and child safety in vehicles. By providing the organization with a truck to move vital training equipment around the state to hosting several ‘Child Safety Seat Inspections’ each year, the Dealership has been a leader in promoting this vital service. Amazingly, even after ten years, each FREE Child Safety Seat Inspection finds over 95% of infant and child safety seats are improperly installed or adjusted in vehicles. These check-ups not only ensure that the seats are installed correctly, but more importantly, they educate parents on the correct methods to install and adjust the seats as their child grows. Check back for information on upcoming Safety Seat Inspections.
